Ministry of Women & Child Development, along with UNICEF, is organizing a campaign titled ‘Celebrating Girl Child’ between 17th to 24th January 2023. The campaign falls under the theme ‘Women and Children’ and will highlight the issues and measures related to the empowerment of girl children. Under this campaign, National webinars by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), National Commission for Women (NCW) shall be organized. National and regional workshops on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative shall also be organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Hon’ble President will felicitate girl champions selected from various fields from across the country for their exceptional achievements. The Hon’ble Prime Minister will also interact with these awardees acknowledging their accomplishments in their respective fields. The celebrations will commence on National Girl Child Day – 24th January 2023.
