Exhibition on biofuels organized by GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU on behalf of oil and gas companies was inaugurated by Shri Sandeep Soni, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Indore, on 28.11.2021. This exhibition was held at Abhay Prashal Auditorium, Indore as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
The exhibition showcased the technological advancement in the field of biofuels, uses and benefits of biofuel and displayed models on initiatives of GAIL, IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL to promote biofuels as an alternative to petroleum product.
Senior officials of the oil and gas industries attended the inauguration event. Other highlights of the exhibition included a drawing competition of school children, a puppet show, a magic show, and on-the-spot sketches by local artists. The school children were presented with a merit certificate to winners and a certificate of participation to all who participated in the competition. There were interactions with engineering college students and industry experts on biofuel over usage of biofuels as an alternative petroleum product.
The exhibition displayed 3D models of the 1G ethanol plant, biodiesel plant & CBG plant. OMCs along with GAIL had put up their stalls to showcase various initiatives taken by them to promote biofuels.
The exhibition was attended by more than 1200 participants from the oil industry, academicians, entrepreneurs, students, farmers, and other relevant stakeholders from various parts of Madhya Pradesh.
