Powergrid organized medical, vaccination, dress distribution at Jetu Line of Dalsinghpara, Kalchini, Alipurduar in West Bengal. The village is very remote and poverty-stricken.
The 400 kV D/C Jimeling (Bhutan)-Alipurduar line (India portion) transmission system provides evacuation of power from Mangdechhu Generation Project (720 MW) in Bhutan. The associated transmission system was evolved as a part of the National Transmission Grid Master Plan (NTGMP) for Bhutan.
The Powergrid presently has 264 Sub-stations and 172,104 Ckm and 464,292 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation, and digital solutions, the Powergrid has been able to maintain average transmission system availability >99%.
