5 Crore+ ‘Selfies with Tiranga’ uploaded on ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ website

In a stupendous achievement, more than 5 crore ‘Selfies with Tiranga’ have been uploaded on the Har Ghar Tiranga website (www.harghartiranga.com).
On the occasion of completion of 75 years of Independence, Ministry of Culture launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to foster deeper personal connect with the Tiranga. Indians everywhere were encouraged to display the flag as a commitment to the cause of nation building during the period of ‘Amrit Kaal’ (25 years from now to India@2047).
Ever since its launch on 22 July 2022, this campaign saw incredible response from all corners of the country. The milestone of 5 crore selfies with Tiranga was achieved on 15th August 2022, thanks to the participation of everyone across India and the world celebrating this special moment in India’s history.
Reflecting on this milestone, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region said, “5 crores Tiranga selfies reflect the collective commitment of duty-bound Indians to keep the Nation first and always first. Thank you, India. This is indeed a special moment of outpouring of the collective expressions of love and connect for the motherland. I wish everyone a very Happy Independence Day!”
He also indicated that as a buzz creation activity, the website also allowed people to digitally ‘pin a flag’. This feature saw a huge draw with pan-India and global participation crossing 5 crore pins.
