Prime Minister visits NGMA to view ‘Jana Shakti: A Collective Power Exhibition’

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi on 14th May 2023 to witness the ‘Jana Shakti: A Collective Power’ exhibition. The exhibition was organized to mark the 100th episode milestone of the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcasts. The exhibition featured the diverse culture of the country and the themes highlighted in the episodes of Mann Ki Baat.
Others in attendance were Shri Govind Mohan, Secretary, Ministry of Culture; Curator of exhibition, Shri Alka Pande; and Smt. Kiran Nadar, Founder – Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, along with other members of the Ministry of Culture and NGMA.
The Prime Minister viewed the exhibition and interacted with the artists. An immersive projection show was also organized at the Jaipur House of NGMA for the Prime Minister. After viewing all the artworks, he signed the Jana Shakti exhibition catalogue and also penned a personalized message “Mann Mandir Ki Yatra Sukhad Ho”.
Thirteen renowned modern and contemporary artists have presented their artistic representations in the exhibition on diverse themes. The artists whose artworks were displayed included Smt. Madhavi Parekh, Shri Manu Parekh, Shri Atul Dodiya, Shri Riyas Komu, Shri G.R Iranna, Shri Ashim Purkayastha, Shri Jiten Thukral & Shri Sumir Tagra, Shri Paresh Maity, Shri Pratul Dash, Shri Jagannath Panda, Shri Manjunath Ka, and Ms. Vibha Galhotra.
