Prime Minister inaugurates International Museum Expo 2023

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated International Museum Expo 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The expo was organized as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate the 47th International Museum Day. Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Development of Northeast Region, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, and several other dignitaries were present at the event.
The museum expo displays curated objects from more than 1000 museums all around the world. While addressing the event, the Prime Minister highlighted the theme of the event ‘Museums, Sustainability, and Well Being’ and said that today’s efforts will help our younger generations in understanding our heritage in a better way.
The Prime Minister praised the planning and execution efforts of the expo curators. He added that the expo 2023 shall prove to be a turning point for the landscape of museums in India.
He applauded our heritage as a sign of global harmony for the world. He added that when a nation begins to preserve its history, it fosters ties with other nations. He gave the example of sacred Lord Buddha artifacts that have been preserved over the ages and are now attracting tourists and artifacts experts from all around the globe.
