He belonged to village Kallah in district Amritsar, Punjab. He was son of Sunder Singh settled in Singapore. He joined the intelligence branch of the Azad Hind Fauj. The British captured him. He was torched and sentence to death on charge of spying. He was hanged in Delhi Central jail on 24 August 1944.
