Ailan- e- Jung Proclamation by Ghadar Party

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

June 09, 2023 to June 09, 2024

During the outbreak of World War I in 1914, various revolutionary parties, including the Ghadar Party, organised protests against British atrocities and the colonial regime in India. Leaders such as Baraktullah Bhopali from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and his counterparts played a significant role in raising their voices against British oppression. In their efforts to challenge British rule, the leaders of the Ghadar Party issued a proclamation called "Ailan-e-Jung" (Proclamation of War).

The Ailan-e-Jung, or Proclamation of War, issued by the Ghadar Party gained significant circulation and influence during that time. Leaders such as Mohammed Barkatullah, Ram Chandra, and Bhagwan Singh played instrumental roles in organising and addressing a series of public meetings. They aimed to inspire and urge Indians to return to India and participate in an armed revolt against British colonial rule. The mission was to persuade Indians residing in various countries, including Japan, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, the Malay States, Singapore, and Burma, to come back to India and join the rebellion. By organising public meetings and engaging in persuasive campaigns, they aimed to unite and strengthen the resistance movement against colonial rule, emphasising the importance of a coordinated and armed struggle for independence.

The "Ailan-e-Jung" served as a rallying cry for independence, urging Indians to stand up against British injustice and join the struggle for freedom. It highlighted the need to resist colonial rule and emphasised the importance of collective action in bringing about meaningful change.
