Union Territory of Puducherry, District - Karaikal. Madarase Maricar was the son of Mohamed Naina Maricar. He hailed from Karaikal. He was a seasoned nationalist of Karaikal. He was the Vice-President of the Tirumalairayan Pattinam branch of the National Congress in 1949. He led Satyagraha and defied the ban order of the French Government. He was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment and was given 2 years exile for the offense of participation in the unauthorized procession duly banned by the French Government. He was given a certificate of Honour and pension apart from Tamarapatra.
