Embassy of India, Monrovia convened a business meeting with the Indian Business community at the Chancery on 22.12.2021 as a part of ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ activities of the Mission. During the deliberation, Ambassador Shri Pradip Kumar Yadav and Shri Jitendra Singh Rawat, SS (Commercial) had an intense and fruitful interaction with the prominent Indian Businessmen in Liberia. The objective of the meeting was to have an insight into India’s presence in trade and investment in Liberia and provide a platform to the business community to share their valuable inputs on exploring the business opportunities in the potential sectors to enhance the bilateral trade between India and Liberia.
The participants also talked about the hurdles and trade barriers one faces while doing business in Liberia. Tapping of the opportunity in India’s tourism and medical sectors was also discussed. Around 15 owners/representatives of the well-reputed and established Indian companies from various sectors viz Pharma, Building materials, Steel, Electronics, IT Products, Education, Stationery, Grocery and Food items, etc. participated in the meeting.
