On 22-9-2022, Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC), Fatehgarh Sahib, under the leadership of District Program Officer Gurmeet Singh ji, conducted an awareness programes about the Sakhi One Stop Centre scheme at Village Khant and Village Manpur, District Fatehgarh Sahib. The in-charge of Sakhi-One Stop Centre Rajni Bala explained about the services provided under Sakhi One Stop Centre. She informed that women suffering from any kind of violence such as domestic violence, molestation, mental violence, acid attack, Rape, kidnapping etc. can avail the service of psychosocial counselling / support free legal assistance, police assistance, medical assistance and temporary Shelter for 5 days (female with son up to 8 years, daughter of any age) under one roof of One Stop Centre. Department of Social Security and Women & child Development,Punjab is providing these services free of cost to aggrieved women of Punjab under the One Stop Centre, Scheme. Nirmal Kaur, Case Worker informed the women about their legal rights and also asked the needy women to contact Sakhi One Stop Centre on telephone numbers 01763-233054, 9988100-415, 95690-30645, 77107-58976. Women victims of violence can also register a complaint regarding violence against them on emergency help line no. 181 or 112.
