Consulate General of India, Frankfurt in collaboration with various Indian community organizations and their representatives celebrated Parakram Diwas on 24 January 2022 in a virtual event.
Consul General offered floral tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 125 birth anniversary recalling his contribution to the Indian freedom struggle, especially as the country is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He also paid respects to all the unsung heroes who under the leadership of Netaji as part of Azad Hind Fauj laid their lives for the cause of India’s independence.
The panelists, who represented various Indian community associations in Hessen and NRW, including S/Shri Krishnendu Laha, Shri Mrityunjay Das, Shri Karthik Yadiki explained different aspects of Netaji’s personality, while Ms. Piyali Bhaumik underlined the contemporary relevance of Netaji’s thought guiding leadership and women’s empowerment.
The event was moderated by Shri Ajay Nath Ojha, while Shri Ram Singh Chauhan and Shri Ram Kumar delivered welcome remarks and the Vote of Thanks respectively. The Consulate also thanked all the members of the Indian community for their participation and support in organizing the event.
