As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and ''India-Japan@70'' celebrations, Ambassador of India to Japan H.E. Shri Sibi George met Mr Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation. The Ambassador and Mr. Suzui discussed Suzuki’s longstanding engagement and new opportunities and investments in India, including in Automative, R&D, battery and EV sectors. Suzuki has ben part of India’s growth story for many a decedes, celebrating 40 years of its presences in India this year. The number of Japanese companies registered in India stands at more than 1430. Similarly, number of Indian companies operating in Japan is also increasing, with the number now over 100. Economic relations are the fulcrum of India - Japan bilateral relations and Suzuki has a significant contribution in enhancing these relations.
