International Women Day Celebration held at Dronacharya College of Engineering

Cultural Club Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, Haryana under the theme of Achievement@75 ( Women@75 ) of Azadi the Amrit Mahotsav organized Naaritva on the occasion of International Women Day i.e 8th March 2022.

 The main coordinators of the event were Prof Vimmi Malhotra and Dr. Ashima Mehta. The Shivangi Mathur(22152) and Shruti Sharma(22402) were the student coordinator of the club. 130 participants including girl students and faculty members participated in the event. The theme of the event was Women empowerment and Equality.

The hosts and the organizers welcomed the Chief Guests, Mrs. Kailash  Yadav, Dr. Yogita Shukla, and Dr. Neha Aghi

The event started with welcoming the guests, faculty, and the female workers with roses. For the auspicious beginning of the event, Lamp lightning took place followed by a Kathak performance on Ganesh Vandana by Divya Sharma. A tribute was presented to the all-female faculty who inspired the students.

Followed by the speech of Chief Guests,  Mrs. Kailash, Dr. Yogita Shukla and Dr. Neha Aghi.

The game named “Goblet of dares'' was organized in which faculty members randomly picked a chit and the chosen faculty had to do the mentioned dare

Students prepared a Nukkad Natak on the theme of Women Empowerment and showcase the difficulties that women had to face and the required changes that people as a citizen can do.


The whole event was filled with some interactive activities to uplift the energy of the audience.  An interesting game of Treasure hunt was organized in which hosts randomly picked alumnus and final year students and they had to solve the riddles and find the clue to their final destination. The team that found the last clue first won. For adding a symphony to the day, Aditi Bhardwaj sang some inspiring songs on Women.

Then came the last game of the day is Explain your title. Every faculty was given a badge at the start of the event in which they were given a unique title. The hosts randomly chose the chits and the selected teacher had to come on stage and explain the title that they got.

The event ended by a Cake cutting celebration and a vote of thanks to all the fabulous females who help the society, inspire the young generation and create the world a better place for all.
