To showcase the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the Embassy of India, Beirut collaborated with Dreamers Japan and Japan Academic Center (CAJAP), Beirut for staging a play "Sky Dream" at the Theatre Le Monnot, Achrafieh, Beirut. Embassy’s Dance Teacher Cum Performer Shri Deepesh Hoskere choreographed and showcased Bharatanatyam dance pieces along with his student Ms. Seiko Sugita, a Japanese dance artist based in Lebanon, as part of Japanese-Lebanese Theatre Play in the form of drama, music and dance. Inspired by the Japanese legendary Samurai group called Shinsen-gumi in the 19th century, "Sky Dream" is a dynamic play to portray how the last Samurais lived their lives with tremendous dignity. Their performance was appreciated with a thunderous applause from an audience of over 250 people. The play was directed by Engr. Eiko Minami, who is also founder of “Dreamers Japan”, an amateur theatrical drama group in Lebanon.
