Constitution day Celebrated by MCTs Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai

MCTs Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai Celebrated the “Constitution day” on the Occasion of “Samta Parv” .We observe the ‘Samvidhan Divas’ (Constitution Day), on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India as Jan Bhagidari to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the Founding Fathers of the constitution.

To celebrate this day, MCT’s RGIT, Mumbai conducted following events:

  • Reading the preamble of the constitution “through: nic.in
  • Online quiz on “India-the Mother of Democracy” web portal: constitution quize.nic.in.
  • Elocution Competition.

 The program began with the Speech of Hon’ble Principal Dr. Sanjay Bokade Sir. He expressed his view on the main theme “India- The Mother of Democracy”. He spoke briefly about our Constitution, the strong foundation upon which our nation grows. Sir also said,

“Let us pledge today to uphold the values that our Constitution guarantees of equal rights to all citizens.Let us also promise to fulfil our fundamental duties to preserve and protect the unity and integrity of our country. We pledge to follow the Indian constitution and make our country proud”

He also led the gathering in the reading of the Preamble. and gave us a lesson for life, it was inspiring and enlightening. he also asked to the students & faculty members to participate in the this “samta parv” week.

Along with Dr.Sanjay Deshmukh,(Vice-principal & Dean in Academics,) Dr.Kiran Chaudhari (Dean in Admin &,HOD-ASH),Dr. Rajesh Kale (Dean in R&D &HOD-MECH), Prof.Sunil Wankhade (HOD-IT), Prof. Sunil Khachane (HOD-COMP) Dr.Jyoti Deshmukh (HOD-AI&DS), Prof.Gunwant Shende (Hod)INSTRU), attended this event.  The events met with resounding success & was greatly appreciated by all the faculty members.

The Programme came to an end with the vote of thanks on this special occasion. Prof.Ankush Ingole Convenor of this events conveyed deep regards and hearty thanks to Honourable principal, Vice-principal, Dean (Academics, Admin, R&D), All Heads of the department, Library staff, teaching and non-teaching Staff and students.
