Sports Activities performed in the premises of Govt High Secondary School Billawar under FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
Under Fit India Movement launched by Govt of India various sports activities performed by Govt Higher Secondary school Ramkot such as Kabbadi, Kho Kho, Cricket, Runnung, Volly ball etc. Various Students participated in different activities.
Fit India scheme was launched on the 29th August by the Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi.
The inaugural ceremony took place at the Indira Gandhi stadium at New Delhi, amid a huge gathering of politicians, bureaucrats, film and television personalities, sports personalities and common public.
There were performances of India’s native martial arts, cultural dance forms, yoga sessions and much more.
The Prime Minister stated that fitness has always been an integral part of India’s culture but sadly today it gets neglected as is evident from our sedentary lifestyle and increase in diseases like obesity, diabetes and blood pressure etc.
People pledged to strengthen the movement and take it to every house an every individual. During his speech the Prime Minister also mentioned the decline in overall physical strength in an average Indian due to sedentary lifestyle.
The movement is expected to lead India towards a healthy and fit future.
