Republic Day was celebrated by ICDS Project Duggan at CDPO Office Duggan in which the flag was hoisted by Head Assistant Sh Raj Kumar working in this Office. This was our 74th Republic Day which was celebrated. This celebration is to remember the immense sacrifices made by Freedom Fighters to get our Nation freedom from the black rule of the British Govt. The 26th of Jan. 1950 is the date on that date we get our constitution enacted. The 26th Jan was chosen as the date because of the declaration made in the INC session of 1929 to celebrate 26 Jan 1930 as the day of independence. Our nation got independence from on 15 August 1947 from British Rule but the constitution which took almost 3yrs to be framed was enacted on 26 Jan 1950 which is remembered every year with a celebration.
