Awareness program under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, AKAM was held at PanchayatTantreypoya, Banihal. The theme of today’s program under AKAM was Cultural Pride of India.
Participants under this programme were told about the Culture of India that India is a land of many cultures, it ia one of the oldest civilizations of the world. We have different customs and traditions which reflect country’s rich culture and heritage.
If one travels from kashmir to Kanyakumari in India one would find that we have different languages, different cuisines, different architectures, dialects, traditions, attire, etc. This shows we have diversity of culture. The participants were told that they can also contribute towards this rich culture by learning Handicrafts, the traits of Handicrafts like Sozni, Staple, Crewel etc. Shall not provide them with Economic independence and self sufficiency but also it is a qay by which these would be participating in enriching and protecting our rich culture.
Participants very very happy and excited to listen to all this and shall be taking the benefits of the schemes of Handicrafts Department in coming days, everyone present there replied.
