As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and India Japan @70, Ambassador of India to Japan H. E. Shri Sibi George had a very warm and cordial meeting with Governor of Nara Prefecture H. E. Mr. Shogo Arai. The discussions covered ways of enhancing exchanges in tourism, education, art, culture and Small and Medium Enterprises' cooperation. Shri Nikhilesh Giri, Consul General of India, Osaka was also present. India and Japan enjoy close cultural and people to people exchanges. India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, including strengthening economic, digital, people to people cooperation. The year 2022 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between India and Japan. Embassy of India has been organising a variety of progammes and exchanges to celebrate the landmark year.
