As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and India Japan @70,Ambassador of India to Japan H.E. Shri Sibi George met Managing Executive Officer of Nippon Life Insurance, Mr Minoru Kimura and discussed their plans for continued engagement in India's asset management and life insurance sectors. In June 2019 Japan collaborated with India to launch a $187 million fund-of-funds for Indian tech start-ups. Nippon insurance is the Anchor fund and the general partner. Mitsubishi Bank is one of the lead investors. Development Bank of Japan, Nippon Life, Suzuki & other companies are limited partners. Japanese companies have committed USD 120 Million to the fund. Economic relations are the backbone of India Japan Startegi and Global Partnership and have contributed immensely to the enhanced bilateral collaboration.
