Embassy of India organized an event ‘Swagatam India: Tourism Seminar in the State of Gujarat with Special Focus on the Statue of Unity, Kevadia, Gujarat’. The event was joined virtually by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and also featured a cultural performance. The Embassy of India in Japan has started a montly series named as "Swagatam India" on India tourism promotion. Each month the series focuses on a new state and theme, inviting the tourism promotion agency of the state and other stakeholders to showcase the tourism potentil of the state to the Japanese stakeholders. These events become more significant as the year 2022-23 is being celebrated as the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between India and Japan.
