The Maharashtra State Innovation Society has organized the Maharashtra Student Innovation Challenge program in Nagpur district Maharashtra Student Innovation Challenge to embody the innovations of the students of the state. The main objective of this initiative is to explore the students' innovations of the state and provide them with appropriate support to realize their dream of entrepreneurship. The initiative was unveiled on 15 July 2013 Hon. It was done by the Minister of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, State of Maharashtra. In the second phase of the Maharashtra Student Innovation Challenge, 70 contestants were selected for the district-level competition for Nagpur district, accordingly, the presentation of all the selected contestants at the district level was held on Friday, dt.
On 22 December 2023 from 10.00 am to 05.00 am K. D. K. It was organized at Engineering College, Nagpur. For the said program Dr. C.C. Handa, Principal, K.D.K. College, Nagpur, Dr. A.M. Badar, Vice Principal, K. D. K. Engineering College Nagpur, Shri, Bezalwar, Vice Principal, District Vocational Education and Training Centre, Nagpur, Shri. Chorghade, Manger District Industry Centre, Smt. Sunanda Bajaj, Assistant Commissioner, District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre, Nagpur, Dr. A. P. Ninave, Assistant Professor (Department of Mechanical Engg.) K. D. K. Engineering College Nagpur, Shri. d. A. Jamdar, Skill Development Employment, and Entrepreneurship Guidance Officer was present.
Also, a total of 119 candidates attended the program for innovation presentation. A jury of 20 eminent people from various fields was present to uate the candidates according to their presentation after giving complete information about the concept to the candidates. 10 winners have been selected from the said presentation session and each winner will get Rs. 1 lakh seed capital will be provided. Also, 10 new entrepreneurs in the district will be given a special incubation program of 12 months and after the incubation program, 360 concepts from all over Maharashtra will be presented at the state level and the best 10 new entrepreneurs will get Rs. 5 lakh seed capital will be provided.
