National Voters Day or Rashtriya Matdata Diwas is celebrated on January 25 every year. The significance of National Voters’ Day is to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process. It is a day to celebrate the right to vote and the vibrant democracy of India. The day was first celebrated in 2011 to mark Election Commission’s Foundation Day.
On this occasion all the staff members and students of Govt. Polytechnic, Sonipat took the pledge for giving their valuable vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language, or any inducement.
Rangoli Competition was also conducted on this occasion.
