As a part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebration, a 'Sneh Milan' for the widows and veer naris of deceased/martyred soldiers residing in Surat district was conducted at district Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Office on November 24, 2021 and a total of 96 widows, veer naris and their dependents attended the event. The purpose of this function was to spread awareness of widows and veer naris under one roof regarding important information related to various welfare/health schemes and facilities meant for veterans and their families in accordance with the policies in vogue promulgated by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and Rajya Sainik Board (RSB), Gujarat State.
