Unsung Heroes Detail

He was born on 20 February 1909 in Bardhman district of Bengal. He went to Kanpur with his father, where he met Bhagat Singh and other revolutionaries and joined Hindustan Republican Association/ Army/ Hindustan Socialist Republican Association/ Army. He was charged in the Lahore conspiracy case but was acquitted. Later, in 1951 he became General Secretary of the Communist Party of India and served till his death on 13 January 1962.
