Shiv Ram Singh Yadav

Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh

April 24, 2024 to April 24, 2026

Shiv Ram Singh Yadav was born in the village of Patra, post Roshanmau, Mandauli, in the Kanpur Dehat District of Uttar Pradesh. Despite receiving his primary education in his hometown, he abandoned his studies to devote himself to the service of his motherland, India. Inspired by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Vinobha Bhave, he actively participated in the "Individual Movement" of 1940, tirelessly working towards India's freedom.

However, his dedication to the cause led to his arrest on 30 April 1941, under Section 38 of D.I.R., resulting in a six-month imprisonment in the notorious central Jail of Fatehgarh. Subjected to severe physical and mental torture, he endured the harsh conditions imposed by British authorities. Despite the adversity, he was released on 8 September 1941, marking his resilience and commitment to the freedom struggle.

Shiv Ram Singh Yadav passed away on 4 February 1983, at his residence in Kanpur Dehat District, Uttar Pradesh, due to deteriorating health. His contributions and sacrifices for the nation are etched in the annals of history, commemorating his legacy as a fervent patriot and freedom fighter.
