In connection with the celebration of 75 th year of Independence and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Jan Baghidhari Campaign was conducted by Rural Development Department at Faqir Gujri under Meri Mati , Mera Desh. The venue for the event was Public ground Faqir Gujri. The chief guest for the event was worthy Deputy Commissioner/ District Development Commissioner, Srinagar- Mohd. Aijaz, IAS. The other dignitaries of the District administration like : Chief Planning Officer, Srinagar; Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Srinagar, etc. were among the all who were present on the occasion. In addition the sectoral officers of the line Departments , Panchayati Raj Institutions of the Block were also there at venue . With regard to the event , the ACD Srinagar delivered the welcome address at the venue. After that, the chief guest was invited to speak on the occasion . In his introductory speech, the chief guest said that nation is on milestone path of the development and the Rural Development is one of the component of the developmental aspect . He urged the general public to take all genuine benefits from the Govt. schemes . Adding to his lines , he also impressed upon +officers/ officials to liaison with the Panchayati Raj Institutions to identify genuine beneficiaries at the grassroot level. After His speech, he distributed certificates of excellence to the volunteers who worked in the program of Swatchta Hi Seva Hai. In his concluding words, he urged all of present there to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among themselves and respect the motherland.The event culminated with singing of National Anthem by all the participants . About more than 69 people participated in the event.
