In connection with celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Swachh Bharat Week was celebrated by Block Khanmoh under Meri Mati, Mera Desh. The venue for the event was near BDO Office, Khanmoh. The chief guest for the event was: ACP Srinagar. In addition, the Block Development Officer, Khanmoh , officials of the Block, students from school, Panchayati Raj Institutions were among all present on the occasion . In context with the activities of the event, after the arrival of the chief guest at the venue, the participants carried out a Swachh Bharat Rally holding the banners and placards of the Swachh Bharat Mission . The rally started from the venue from where they proceeded further in Block areas . The main aim of organizing the event was to do wide IEC regarding the concept of Swachta HI Seva Hai . The chief guest and the BDO, Khanmoh then addressed the locals to Adopt the cleanliness mindset in their lives so as to make the village and the nation free from any health hazards . The rally ended near Govt. School, Khanmoh with the collection of waste from local areas and depositing for further action. Later in the event, the chief guest said that when India is celebrating the 75 th year of Independence, all the citizens must contribute to fulfill the motive of Meri Mati, Mera Desh in which all m parameters are ticked properly . The event concluded with National Anthem by the participants . About more than 45 people attended the event.
