According to the instructions of the Punjab Government, Municipal Council President Mr. Sanjay Sahni ji and Executive Officer Harbakhsh Singh ji, the Swachh Teerth campaign was started today by the Municipal Council Nangal Council Nangal to keep the city clean and plastic-free. Under this campaign, a special plastic packing drive was conducted in different wards of the city with the support of sanitation workers and ward residents.
Giving information about this campaign, Municipal Council President Mr. Sanjay Sahni ji said that this campaign is to be conducted continuously from January 14 to January 21. The main objective of this campaign is to make the city residents aware of cleanliness, and the use of single-use plastic will be stopped. To conduct, and to make it clean and pollution-free. Under this campaign, all wards, educational institutions, religious places, market areas, hotels, dhabas, etc. are to be made plastic-free. On this occasion, every activity will be made single-use plastic-free.
On this occasion, the Municipal Council appealed to the residents of the city not to use plastic envelopes and any kind of plastic goods during any domestic program and not to burn the garbage. On this occasion, Superintendent Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Sanitary Inspector Malkit Singh, Program Coordinator Poonam Begra, and Samchi Swachh Bharat Team were present.
