He was born in village Khokha, the Hansi of district Hisar, Haryana. He was son of Bhoja and served as Gunner in the British Indian Army. He shifted his loyalties to the Azad Hind Fauj in 1942 and fought the British in pitched battled. He lost his life in course of heavy fighting on the Arakan front Burma in 1944.
