Bharat Gaurav train “Northeast Discovery: Beyond Guwahati” flagged off

Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture flagged off Bharat Gaurav train “Northeast Discovery: Beyond Guwahati” on the 21st of March 2023 from Delhi Safdarjung railway station. The deluxe tourist train commenced a 15-day tour to the Northeast covering Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya.
Spanning over a journey of 14 nights and 15 days, the state-of-the-art deluxe AC tourist train will be accommodating 156 tourists. The train which began its journey from Delhi Safdarjung railway station will cover Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Kaziranga in Assam; Unakoti, Agartala, and Udaipur in Tripura; Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland and Shillong and Cherapunji in Meghalaya.
Bharat Gaurav train offers a variety of unique features to the tourists such as two fine-dining restaurants, a contemporary kitchen, sensor-based washroom facilities, foot massaging equipment, and a mini library. The train is also equipped with advanced safety features such as CCTV cameras, electronic safes, and a dedicated security guard assigned to each coach.
